Transformation

By Pastor Chandra Hill, Pastor of Congregational Life & Women’s Ministries at TLC Fellowship

2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. ~ Romans 12:2 (NLT)

I often look within myself to see where I am, where I’ve been and where I am going. I am evaluating how I made if from “Point A” to “Point B”. What I discovered is that many times I have just transitioned from one place to the next and not transformed. See, when I just transition, I am only passing from one place to the next with no change. With no change, it is too easy to go back and fit into my old life or old habits. I am not changing my circumstances or my situation. But I thank God for transformation! When I transform I am changing in composition or structure, character or condition. When I transform, it is not easy for me to go back into my old way of life or old habits because I don’t “fit” anymore. When something changes shape, it is many times impossible for it to go back to its original form. I thank God that I have moved from transition to TRANSFORMATION!

Prayer: Father, thank you for transformation! Thank you for your grace and mercy that is brand new every morning. I pray for each individual that may read this and that you continue to bless them and transform their lives. Help us to be who you created us to be. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
